Company Description
PPHI Sindh is a not-for-profit company incorporated under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017 (formerly Companies Ordinance, 1984). Its NPO (Not for Profit Organization) status is also recognized by the Pakistan Center of Philanthropists (PCP) which is a government accredited body for recognition of Not for Profit Organizations. It is managed by a Board of Directors comprising seven experienced members with wide and versatile experience. It is represented by the Secretaries of the Government of Sindh (Health, Finance, Planning and Development and Population Welfare) as ex-officio officers of the Board. PPHI Sindh is also registered with the Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan as a local NGO entitled to receive foreign support.
_The journey of PPHI started from Kashmore district in 2007 and gradually spread to 22 districts of Sindh. This responsibility was first entrusted to the organization in 2007 by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) under an MoU with the Government of Sindh (GoS). In 2013_the organization was registered-with the SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan).
The purpose of establishing the organization was to restore health services in rural Sindh. Its immediate objective was to ensure that the health facilities handed over to the PPHI were fully functional and that health services were provided within their reach to all. A dedicated and competent management team was appointed who started working with full vigor to achieve this goal. Within a short period of time regular attendance of doctors and staff in health facilities as well as continuous supply of medical supplies was ensured.
Due to the efforts of PPHL Sindh, there has been a continuous improvement in health indicators, especially infant and maternal mortality. PPHI Sindh has focused on maternal and child health and continuously improved delivery coverage across Sindh. It has established round-the-clock maternity home facilities.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Karāchi for PPHI Jobs In Karachi Pakistan. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks associated with the role on a day-to-day basis.
