Port Qasim Authority is a service-oriented organization established under an act of parliament in 1973. Located in the Indus delta region, the port is the second deep-sea industrial-cum-commercial port operating under a landlord concept in Pakistan. PQA provides shore-based facilities and services to international shipping lines and other concerned agencies.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Karāchi for a Government Relations Officer. The Officer will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships between PQA and local governments, providing communication support for PQA's activities and initiatives, and conducting analytical research on public sector policies.
Qualifications
- Strong Government Relations and Communication skills
- Analytical Skills and understanding of Public Sector policies
- Knowledge of Local Government structure and operations
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Political Science or Communications
- Excellent written-and verbal communication skills in English-and Urdu
- Experience in a government agency or in a similar role is preferred
