Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) is focused on the development of sustainable, well-managed urban areas in the Punjab province. The organization aims to achieve this through sound long-term planning and comprehensive urban development management. Rapid urbanization has altered the socio-economic and physical characteristics of the cities thus making a need for strategic metropolitan planning.
The Ravi River, a transversal river of India and Pakistan, is an integral part of the Indus River Basin and forms the headwaters of the Indus Basin. RUDA also aims to tackle the pollution problems facing the Ravi River in Lahore.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Lahore for a Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) employee. The ideal candidate will work with our team to create innovative solutions and provide customer-centric services for urban development projects in Lahore. Candidates will research and develop strategies for urban development projects and manage assigned projects in partnership with a team of professionals.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Software development and programming experience
- Sales experience and effective problem solving abilities
- Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant fields such as engineering, urban planning, architecture, geography, economics or a related field.
- Experience in urban planning, GIS and other mapping tools, project management, or related field is preferred.
Note: Experience in public administration and knowledge of the local culture, politics and norms is an added advantage.
